DIN Union Coupling
DIN Union (DU) couplings comply with the DIN11851 standard and are applicable to industries such as food, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. They can be used for connecting hoses to equipment as well as for rigid pipe system connections.
Features of DIN Union (DU) Couplings
- Facilitates supporting and fastening with SFC safety clamps and FR sleeves.
- Electropolished surface makes it more suitable for hygiene industry requirements.
- Specially designed with an extended joint neck for easy installation.
- Inner wall roughness Ra < 0.6μm; DU couplings with inner wall roughness Ra < 0.4μm are available upon request.
- Manufactured from forged components.
- Wear-resistant tail core ensures longer service life of the hose assembly.
- High working pressure up to 40bar/580psi.
- 3.1B certificate and SGS material report are available upon request.
DIN Coupling Model Standards
DIN couplings are a common pipe connection method, adopting standards formulated by the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN), hence the name "DIN couplings". DIN coupling model standards refer to various types of coupling standards established by DIN, including DIN11851, DIN11864, DIN11853, DIN11850, etc.
- DIN11851: A common stainless steel sanitary coupling, suitable for pipe connections in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and other industries. It consists of two flanges and a sealing ring. The flanges are equipped with four bolt holes, and the two flanges can be connected by bolts. The sealing ring is usually made of silicone, EPDM and other materials, featuring good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
- DIN11864: A high-pressure sanitary coupling, suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature pipe connections. It is composed of two flanges and a sealing ring. The flanges have six bolt holes, and the two flanges can be connected via bolts. The sealing ring is typically made of viton, silicone and other materials, with excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
- DIN11853: A sanitary pipe connection standard, applicable to pipe connections in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and other industries. It includes two flanges and a sealing ring. The flanges are provided with four bolt holes, allowing the two flanges to be joined by bolts. The sealing ring is usually made of silicone, EPDM and other materials, offering good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
- DIN11850: A sanitary pipe connection standard, suitable for pipe connections in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and other industries. It comprises two flanges and a sealing ring. The flanges have four bolt holes, enabling the connection of the two flanges with bolts. The sealing ring is typically made of silicone, EPDM and other materials, with good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
DIN coupling model standards are one of the commonly used standards in pipe connections. Different models are suitable for different industries and pipe connection requirements. When using DIN couplings, it is necessary to select the appropriate model according to actual conditions, and pay attention to the installation and maintenance of the couplings to ensure the safety and reliability of pipe connections.
