Product Introduction
Conductive PTFE-Lined TC Fitting (Black)
The TC fitting with black conductive PTFE lining is fabricated by sintering carbon-filled PTFE on the sealing/inner lining surface of the SS304/316L body. It combines PTFE’s corrosion resistance, low friction, and hygienic properties with electrostatic conductivity. Suitable for electrostatic-prone working conditions such as flammable solvents and low-conductivity media, its black color facilitates quick identification and routine inspection.
Key Points
Conductive Mechanism
Conductive fillers (e.g., carbon black/graphite) are added to PTFE to form a conductive path. This path diverts static electricity generated by medium friction to the ground, significantly reducing the risk of ignition.
Process & Structure
- Molding/sintering technology ensures tight bonding between PTFE and the metal body, preventing delamination.
- Flanged/edged design enhances fitting tightness and durability, minimizing curling and leakage issues.
Application Scenarios
Widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, coating, and solvent transportation industries. Particularly suitable for low-conductivity, flammable media, and vacuum working conditions.
Selection Notes
- Working pressure must be compatible with clamp specifications and pipe wall thickness.
- Medium compatibility should cover both temperature and concentration ranges.
- Sealing components must be the same as or compatible with the inner lining to avoid swelling.
Selection & Usage Recommendations
- Standard & Size: First confirm the clamp specification (e.g., DN15/20/25/32/40/50) and applicable standard (3A/BPE/DIN), ensuring alignment with pipe outer diameter and clamp type.
- Conductive Grade: Specify the required surface resistance range based on working conditions; request a third-party test report if necessary.
- Material & Certificates: Select 316L for the body and conductive PTFE for the lining; obtain necessary certifications such as FDA/USP, material reports, and 3.1B certificates.
- Sealing & Grounding: Use conductive PTFE gaskets and ensure reliable grounding of flanges, clamps, and the entire pipe system to prevent static accumulation.
- Installation & Maintenance: Tighten clamps evenly to avoid local stress damage to the inner lining; regularly inspect for delamination, scratches, and leakage, and replace gaskets promptly.
