The electric-driven hose reel is a device that uses electric power to retract, deploy, and organize long strip-shaped objects such as cables and hoses. Below is a detailed introduction:
Structural Composition
- Drive System: Usually composed of a motor, reducer, etc. The motor provides power, which is transmitted to the reel after the reducer reduces the speed and increases the torque to realize the rotation of the reel. For example, a dual-redundancy electric-driven hose reel transmission system includes two sets of motors, two sets of clutches, and one set of reducer. The motor output shaft is connected to the reducer input shaft through the clutch, and the reducer then meshes with the internal gear ring on the inner wall of the reel to output power.
- Reel Body: Consists of a central shaft and a disk surface. The central shaft supports the entire disk surface, and the disk surface is used for winding strips.
- Brake System: Used to stop the rotation of the reel when needed, such as an electromagnetic brake, which can achieve braking by meshing the brake gear with the gear on the reel.
- Guiding Mechanism: Some electric-driven hose reels are equipped with guiding mechanisms, such as reciprocating lead screws, guiding rods, and guiding seats, which can make hoses or cables arrange evenly during retraction and deployment.
- Bracket and Base: Used to install and fix the reel to ensure its stability during operation.
Working Principle
The electric-driven hose reel drives the reducer through the energized operation of the motor, thereby driving the reel to rotate. When wire winding is required, the reel rotates clockwise to wind the cable or hose on the disk surface; when wire unwinding is required, the reel rotates counterclockwise to release the cable or hose. At the same time, the brake system and guiding mechanism work together to ensure the safety and orderliness of the retraction and deployment process.
